then ever travel to the Turks and Caicos and
your vacation villa in Providenciales is no
more then a short flight from North America.
You could be relaxing in one of the lounge
chairs looking out over the spectacular
ocean views offered by the numerous decks at
Stargazer while sipping on a local favorite
cocktail, all by early afternoon.
Current flights offered by American Airlines
include service several times daily from
Miami, FL. As well as flights from JFK
Airport and Boston. During the high
season, there are flights from Dallas/Fort
Worth, TX. US Airways arrives
daily from Charlotte, NC and during high
season, flies directly from Philadelphia,
PA. Delta offers daily flights from
Atlanta, GA. Air Canada flies direct
from Toronto in season. British Airways does
a direct flight, via the Bahamas, from
Heathrow on Sundays. Plus Spirit Air
flies from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Please
note that the airline schedules are
constantly changing, so please check with
your travel agent. Flight time is
approximately 1h20 from Miami and 2h50 from
New York. You will be given one
Immigration form for each person and one
Customs form per family. These should
be completed on-board, prior to your
arrival, to facilitate your entry into the
Turks & Caicos.
IMMIGRATION
/ ENTRY
All
visitors to the Turks and Caicos must hold a
round trip ticket. Visitors are
permitted to stay for 30 days, renewable one
time only for a fee. All visitors,
including children, now require a
Passport to enter or leave the country.
Visas are required for visitors from
non-commonwealth and non-EU countries,
except the USA and Canada; please contact a British
Consulate Office for visa
applications. Check with your travel
agent or airline for more details. You
will be required to fill in the landed
immigration form to enter the country. When
filling in address of where you are staying
in the Turks and Caicos please enter,
"Stargazer Villa, 2 International
Drive, Providenciales." The Villa

CUSTOMS
REGULATIONS
Visitors
may bring in duty free for their own use,
one carton of cigarettes or cigars, one
bottle of liquor and some perfume. The
importation of firearms and bullets, illegal
drugs and pornography is strictly forbidden.
After collecting luggage at Providenciales
International Airport you will then proceed
through the Customs area, where most likely
as a visitor you will be carrying
“personal use only” items and will
hopefully proceed easily through.
BAGGAGE
CLAIM / ARRIVAL AREA
While
waiting for your luggage, take a moment to
browse the information racks and pick up any
interesting brochures on events and
activities. Luggage carts are provided
free of charge. There are also
porters, with identification badges,
available to help you with your luggage and
direct you through Customs and out to the
Arrivals area. They are usually tipped
$3 per bag. Please note that the
baggage area is patrolled by drug sniffing
dogs. They are very good at their
job, so be fore-warned! You will be
greeted by the Villa Manager, who will have
a clipboard with your party's name on it.
Your transportation to the Villa is included
in your rental, regardless of how many
people or the number of arrivals. Do
not take a taxi to the Villa, unless you are
directed to do so by the property manager.
Should any of your luggage fail to arrive,
first check that it was not removed by
someone else from the luggage belt and is on
the floor somewhere, then simply proceed to
met the property manager. She will
help you file a claim. The good news
is that almost all delayed luggage arrives
later the same day or by 2pm the next day.
DEPARTURE
TAX
The
Turks and Caicos Islands Airport Departure
Tax is $30 and levied on persons over 2
years of age. This is now included in the
price of your airline ticket. When you
are processed through Immigration upon
entry, you will be given a stub. Place
it in your passport and return it to the
Immigration officer when you depart, after
going through security.
